This is a stunning craftsman style 4BR 4BA timber lodge with a large three car garage attached and 2- BR 1-BA guest house. Each guest will live in luxury at the Dream Lodge with towering cathedral ceilings, fully operated boat lift, an open floor plan, over-sized lakeside entertainment deck, fully stocked kitchen, cable and wifi.. 2 min from the amenities of downtown Tahoe City, 20 minutes to Squaw Valley. Both the main house and the guest house are included in this listing.

The space

The 4 bed 4 bath (bunk bed room is meant for kids) Dream Lodge has exceptional privacy, rolling expansive lawns, beautiful Lake Views, towering trees and a shared 432' pier with one boat slip and lift. (fits larger boats) The main house is equip with a kids books, toys, kids sized foosball table, pop up play tents and tunnels and extra dipers. The main house kitchen has two ovens, a large pantry for food items, full sized fridge, dishwasher, 4 stove tops, two sinks, and any kitchenware you may need. Living room has massive fireplace and 55" tv. We do our best to supply complimentary Keurig cups of coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. Strong wifi connection, cable tv, and Roku are available on all three Tvs. Very spacious three car garage attached.. This central location cannot be beat, 2 min to Tahoe City, 8 min to Homewood, 15 min to Squaw Valley, 20 min to Kings Beach, 23 min to Truckee, 30 min to Northstar. Cameras are installed on the outside of the home.

Currently the heating in the guest house is non operational but we do provide space heaters.

Full access to the main house:
While staying here you have full access to all private balconies and decks, ventilated meditation room, laundry room (detergent supplied), 4 full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and 7 beds, (bunk bed room is meant for kids), robes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, basic condiments. Full access to the massive three car garage, sleds, and snowballs makers. Garbage disposal, dishwasher, full laundry room, two oven, one full sized refrigerator, two 4 burner stove tops, 3 tvs, 14 chairs for dining (main) ... All soaps, detergents, and cleaning supplies are provided for both houses.
Currently the heating in the guest house is non operational but we do provide space heaters.

Our property entrance gate is required to be open at all times and remotes / controls to the gate are not provided nor is closure of the gate permitted.

For summer stays and those with boats:
The most important thing to know about the boating policy is the inspection requirements that state that an Aquatic Invasive Species inspection or an intact inspection seal are required before you arrive at any Lake Tahoe boat launch facility.

There are six inspection sites: Northstar at Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, Myers California (Highways 89 and 50), Spooner Summit, Homewood and Incline Village. Boaters also need to buy a Watercraft Inspection Sticker either at the inspection site or at the first boat launch of the season. More info on can be found here: Complete Guide to Boating Lake Tahoe. Public launching facilities are available at Sand Harbor, Cave Rock, Lake Forest, Ski Beach, Incline Village, Tahoe Vista, Kings Beach and El Dorado Beach.

A note about our cleaning and cleaning fees: When you book this property you are paying for a full cleaning following your departure. That also means you should expect a cleaned and prepared home prior to your arrival. Your cleaning fee however also covers other services, (depending on the street and city in which the home is located) but may include other items like outdoor areas, pools and/or hot tubs, laundry, wiping down of appliances and kitchen drawers and cabinets, vacuuming, dusting, wiping down windows, and generally what would be considered a complete house cleaning. Our fees are also paid in accordance with California wage and hour laws. We therefore have tax implications as do our cleaning vendors and as such our rates may be higher than what a person/private host may charge who does the work themselves and accepts payment under the table (and does not report earnings for tax purposes). Our cleaners also always show up and on time. We are paying them for that consistency as it means you should not ever walk into a home that has not been cleaned or cleaned poorly. We hope that helps add color on this portion of the reservation cost.

Some truths about our home: While the location is fantastic and can't be beaten, this home is located within a high animal activity area which means bears are present. Please be bear smart and secure all doors at night. This includes the garage where the trash cans are located.. You will see lots of squirrels, chipmunks, bugs based on the mountain living aspect. This home does show its age in some places that some folks may want to prepare for, like small things light switches to more design specific things like bathroom tiles and kitchen cabinetry. Most of this is visible in the photos, but we just want to do our best to prepare our guests as best we can. Currently the heating in the guest house is non operational but we do provide space heaters.

Great place to relax and unwind lakeside.

Great place to relax and unwind lakeside. Beautiful living room and a beautiful setting on the lake. AC was also an awesome and attentive host. Any questions we had were answered within minutes.

The views and location amazing

The views and location amazing, some areas of the home are dated but all appliances worked well. The main room TV system needs improving as the sound bar and flat screen TV seemed pieced together and difficult to manage, but hey, your there for the lake views right? Our host contact was amazing, very easy to reach and responsive. Window washing would improve the overall experience.

The views can’t be beaten

If you have the opportunity to rent this place, DO IT!!! I have been renting from Airbnb for years, and this was probably my best stay yet! Our group had a boat for the weekend and the dock was perfect for us (boat was too big for the lift, but that didn’t matter). The place was amazing, the views can’t be beaten, and the hospitality by the host was incredible! We’re already planning next year’s trip!
