WOW! Can't beat the location of this recently renewed gem in Hillcrest!

We are close to everything you want in San Diego: Balboa Park, Airport, Convention Center, SeaWorld, Zoo, not to mention all restaurants and attractions right around the corner in Hillcrest or Downtown.

The space
With a walking score of 86, this is great for someone wanting to explore Hillcrest and adjacencies by foot or bike.

The main home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower/tub combo. The master bedroom has one Queen Size bed and the second bedroom has 2 Twin beds.

In the back of the home there's a very cozy backyard with sitting area to relax and enjoy with your family and friends.

Everyone raves about the home, the location and the management team overseeing it and you.

Detached from the main house there is a 3rd bedroom that it's not available for guests. It's locked and used as owner's storage.

Guest access
The whole space is yours to enjoy, no shared spaces. However, the house is a duplex so you might hear the neighbors who share some walls with our property.

Detached from the main house there is a 3rd bedroom that it's not available for guests. It's locked and used as owner's storage.

Other things to note
  Home Truths:
 The parking space is very, very tight. SUV's won't fit. Even some medium-size cars won't fit as well. However, there's plenty of free street parking in front of the home. The majority of our guests found no issues with the parking situation.

The house does NOT have central AC but we don't need it most of the year. We provide one portable AC for the whole house and fans in every bedroom. Unfortunately additional AC units are not viable because the electrical system can't handle the power surge.

The 3rd bedroom/casita is not available for guests. It's locked and used as owner's storage.

The gas wall heater pictured is NOT functional as well. We provide 2 space heaters in addition to the gas fireplace. It's a small place and that's usually more than enough to keep the space comfortable during San Diego's mild winters.

Please only book if you're comfortable with temperatures a bit colder or hotter than normal.

- Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in. 

- This is a private property and the host reserves right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.

Great neighborhood

Great neighborhood and within walking distance to cafes and parks.

I would recommend this place.

Well equipped kitchen, opened the windows and the breeze gave it a great touch. Being able to use the washer and drier after a long day in Coronado beach takes this place to the next level. Plenty of parking we had a large vehicle that tightly fit in the driveway after that first night we found parking in front the rest of our stay. I would recommend this place.

Highly recommend!

Great spot! Good location and great outdoor area with a firepit. No AC but plenty of fans and it wasn't too hot when we went. Master bedroom is located in a guesthouse out back. Great sized room with extremely comfortable king bed, but using the bathroom at night can be a bit tricky as you either have to walk through one of the other bedrooms or walk around the house and go in the front door. Other than that the place had everything we needed and was a great value. Highly recommend!

stay here again in a heartbeat

I was a bit nervous about staying here, based on the prior review about the house being really hot and ants everywhere, but the place was actually perfect for me and my friends. The beds were super comfortable, and checking in and out was really easy and convenient. Yes, there is no AC, but the temperature drops at night and we were fine sleeping with fans. Also, we thankfully didn't have any ant issues, but we had heard from other locals that ants were common due to the hot weather. All in all, we had a really wonderful time and would gladly stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful space

Wonderful space with clean and comfortable linens, kitchen equipped with just the right amount of cookware and appliances, Netflix and nice TV for quiet night or afternoons. Safe and quiet neighborhood with a tiny coffee shop and mom-and-pop grocery store 1 block away. Supermarket 5 min drive away. Super easy process and extremely responsive host.
