This beach inspired 2 bedroom home is freshly remodeled and features outdoor dining with BBQ plus a detached, quiet, private “Zoom Room”/Office where you can conduct business while away from home.

Note: This rental is the back unit and has its own separate entry from the front unit.

This home is professionally managed. We are a friendly team of folks who look after this beautiful property while the owners are away. We ask you to keep in mind, this is a private home which the owner retreats to. We simply ask that you respect & take care of the property as if it were your own. Let that love flow.

**We are available to you for standard check in times should you require any assistance from 4pm - 6pm. For after these hours we may be available for emergencies only and only then via Airbnb message app. We apologize if this causes any issues, but please consider this ahead of booking. Likewise, please advise us before traveling, on your estimated time of arrival so we can accommodate if possible.

We are just a 5 minute walk to the beaches of Carlsbad; 15 minute walk to Carlsbad Village (a less than 5 minute drive)  

Coastal Rail Train passes less than 500' away from us and it can be heard from the house.  

Carlsbad's beaches are incredible -- there's surfable surf, soft sand and so much access the beach. With an upper and lower paved walk running miles along the coastline, you'll have trouble deciding whether to run or walk, go to the beach or lunch or shopping, or just stay in and people watch! Carlsbad is home to shopping and great restaurants. There's also Legoland and the Museum of Making Music and the farmers market every Wednesday afternoon. San Diego is close by with its wealth of attractions including San Diego Zoo/ Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, USS Midway, craft beer scene, wine tasting, and so much more.

Depending on your itinerary while in town, you can either rent a car or many guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes.

Note: We have a train that does pass by the home (less than 500' away)

1. It was a little hard to find the space in the night even with instructions.
2. If you are with young toddlers, the space is right next to train tracks and the Amtrak trains are running 24 hours. It can get loud in the night so a louder white noise machine for the kids is definitely needed.
3. The host is slightly inflexible with the Check-out time. If you are with the kids, please discuss this in advance as sometimes getting them out by 10AM can take a toll." (10/5)

Air Concierge was very responsive and took care of everything. The house looked like the photos and was everything I expected.  That included the wall furnace, which is a form of heat that I personally don't enjoy, but common for these older cottage-like homes.  I expected the train and was surprised how often it ran.  It is a passenger train and therefore ran every hour or so during the day.  Short trains, so I only heard them for maybe 30 seconds each time.  No big deal.  Overnight, while I stayed 10 nights, I think I heard the train only once. Again, no big deal.  The mattress was comfortable. The house was roughly 2 blocks from the southern part of the main beach, which is great, and walking distance to the most popular part. It was a couple minutes drive from the village, however I didn't make good use of the village." (8/5)
