Carlsbad is home to shopping and great restaurants. There's also Legoland and the Museum of Making Music and the farmers market every Wednesday afternoon.
San Diego is close by with its wealth of attractions including San Diego Zoo/ Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, USS Midway, craft beer scene, wine tasting, and so much more.
You'll have two parking spaces (driveway) and the garage may be available (please check before booking) if you choose to drive; otherwise, Carlsbad station is serviced by the SD Coaster as well as Amtrak. San Diego's public transit also runs along Carlsbad Blvd. Of course, Uber, Lyft, and taxi service are available as well.
We have a train that does pass by the home (less than 500' away).
If you are bringing a dog, please note that the yard is not fully fenced.

Location, location , location. It is close to the rail road tracks, which means you can walk away from traffic, if you want, all the way to the Village. Perfect area to walk your dog. Alternatively, walk straight down the street a few blocks to the beach. I love the secluded private yard. The kids were able to safely play outside after dark. There were beach towels, boogie boards and beach chairs available. The large dining table is perfect for buffet style dining. A+ vacation home!
The location was great, simple walk to the beach. Having the umbrella and boogie boards was a winner! I wanted to pack a lunch for the beach but the home did not have any ziplocks, tin foil, Saran Wrap or Tupperware so you may want to bring those items yourself if you plan on saving leftovers or pack a beach lunch. Accommodations were nice, beds very soft and the fenced front yard was perfect for our pup!
