Carlsbad is home to shopping and great restaurants. There's also Legoland and the Museum of Making Music and the farmers market every Wednesday afternoon.
San Diego is close by with its wealth of attractions including San Diego Zoo/ Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, USS Midway, craft beer scene, wine tasting, and so much more.
You'll have two parking spaces (driveway) and the garage may be available (please check before booking) if you choose to drive; otherwise, Carlsbad station is serviced by the SD Coaster as well as Amtrak. San Diego's public transit also runs along Carlsbad Blvd. Of course, Uber, Lyft, and taxi service are available as well.
We have a train that does pass by the home (less than 500' away).
If you are bringing a dog, please note that the yard is not fully fenced.

Amazing place, location and host. We can’t wait to come back
Perfect sanctuary for my family and I while I was doing a job in San Diego. That front yard is private and gorgeous. Kitchen was great. Perfect for 3 kids- who loved the bunk beds and my oldest got the queen. Nothing like walking from your house to the beach- it's pretty unreal. Carlsbad Village is super cute and we took the Coaster to downtown/Coronado. Great family trip and would stay again.
We very much enjoyed our time at this home. It is in a great location; close to the beach, close to Carlsbad Village, and easy to get to by car. The home itself is clean, updated, and comfortable. We have already booked another stay at this location.
