Coastal Rail Train passes less than 500' away from us and it can be heard from the house.
Carlsbad's beaches are incredible -- there's surfable surf, soft sand and so much access the beach. With an upper and lower paved walk running miles along the coastline, you'll have trouble deciding whether to run or walk, go to the beach or lunch or shopping, or just stay in and people watch! Carlsbad is home to shopping and great restaurants. There's also Legoland and the Museum of Making Music and the farmers market every Wednesday afternoon. San Diego is close by with its wealth of attractions including San Diego Zoo/ Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, USS Midway, craft beer scene, wine tasting, and so much more.
Depending on your itinerary while in town, you can either rent a car or many guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes.

Our family loved the close access to the beautiful beach! Very walkable and peaceful residential area. The backyard was private and everything was pristine. Would love to come back again!
The description is accurate for this vacation stay. Close to the public beach access, you can walk there in 5 minutes. Clean and comfortable. If cooking plan to buy or bring spices, flour, etc. Pans, plates, utensils are provided. As others have mentioned, the train horn signal is to be expected! Nice neighborhood, off street parking was a big plus. Patio seating to enjoy the outside. A lot of reasons to enjoy this property.
