Perched atop Knotty Pine with peek lake views and privacy, this home is spectacular for summer and winter family retreats. This is a rustic mountain cabin with modern comforts & amenities.

The perfect getaway amongst the treetops for families of 4-5 (although it comfortably sleeps 6) or 2 couples … or even just 1 couple. Its cabin decor is intentional & the best guests are those yearning for a true mountain retreat.

With nearly an acre of land, forest and lake views, we are just 1mile to the lake & close to Mt. Rose and Diamond Peak ski resorts. (Lake access points a bit further).

It's a fabulous Tahoe 3 bedroom home + loft (above living room) completely ready for vacation getaway. It does sleeps 6 comfortably (master king bed, 2 twins in bedroom 2, and 2 in the bunk bed room as the bottom bed is a true double, while the top is a single), thus 2 smaller people could share the double.

Beach Access Option – Incline Village (Burnt Cedar, Incline & Ski Beaches)
Our home comes with a very limited number of IVGID Recreation Punch Cards that give entry to the private beaches just 10 minutes away. Please read at the bottom of this page / House Rules on details for the card.

Distance to Lake:
Please note the home is a short drive to the lake and while walking is possible we do not recommend given the hill and highway that must be crossed. The category description indicating 10 minute walk is not our recommendation and was automated by airbnb software. Lastly, while the lake is 1mile, the private beaches are more than 2 miles.

Air Conditioning: the AC unit is a portable unit as pictured and only helps to cool the main living area. The bedrooms are downstairs and remain (usually) cool all year long.

Please note our AC unit is a portable unit and not central AC. The only room that gets warm is the main living area and the AC unit is affixed there and offers a wonderful reprieve.

Located 1 mile from Lake Tahoe with world class ski resorts only a short drive away (NorthStar, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, etc) - this home is central for all your seasonal adventures.

Sorry, access to Incline Village Private Beaches for Summer 2024 is sold out and we don't have more tickets available.

We recommend Sand Harbor or Speedboat Beach for public beach access until IVGID releases information on beach access for non residents /card holders.

**ATTENTION WINTER GUESTS: Front door access is NOT available in winter due to ice/snow and potentially unsafe conditions.

Please note that we have a split garage in which access to the home is granted to guests. That means theres a walkway inside the garage that leads to the mudroom / interior of the home.
*The remainder of the garage is locked off and is not available for storage or parking vehicles.

Parking: The driveway can fit 2 cars and our street is in a low trafficked residential neighborhood making street parking quite easy.

**WINTER GUESTS: please ensure precaution when parking on shoulder as slope is steep and can be icy and false. We also cannot guarantee reliable wifi during winter season due to storms and service restrictions. (Wifi has rarely gone down, if ever, but cell signal and wifi can still be spotty at times). Please only book our home if these are not critical to your use/ enjoyment as no refunds or credits will be given for down time service periods.)

Patio furniture not available in the winter and late fall

As much as is necessary. I am available during normal business hours before and during your stay but only if and when you need assistance. Otherwise the home is all yours. We also want to make this a unique experience and not just like a run of the mill hotel. We may text hello from time to time to ask how the stay is going. We may drop a gift for you or welcome present (like a dessert) to make your stay just a little bit sweeter. We are just a bit old fashioned when it comes to that kind of thing (customer service) and in a day and age where everything moves so fast and is so digital, we like to take a step back and slow things down a bit -- at least just enough to say hello in person, to shake your hand and thank you for choosing our home for your vacation needs.

We use Air Concierge for all guest interaction, including messaging, booking requests, local insight, and they are available during your normal business hours during your stay and will do a check out review of the home upon your departure.

The neighborhood is quiet but extremely close to everything. You are 1 mile to the lake if you want to walk the lakeshore path; 2.8 miles from Incline Beach (9 minutes); a 5 minute drive to 3 casinos: The Biltmore, Crystal Bay Club and The Nugget. You are 5 minutes from Skiing at Diamond Peak, 5 minutes to Mt Rose 20 minutes to Northstar and 30 minutes to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Hiking is right out the door or a short drive away. You have access to everything from this centrally located neighborhood!

Public Transportation is TART, a bus that goes around the Lake. There is a stop close by, in front of the Casinos. We recommend having a car.

**Please note: For check-ins on Tuesdays during the month of August 2025, availability may require a 5:00 PM check-in time instead of 4:00 PM. Should this occur, we will provide a $50 credit at the end of your stay, as long as your reservation is at least 3 nights and no other refunds or credits have been issued.

**We are available to you for standard check in times should you require any assistance from 4pm - 10pm … for after these hours we may be available for emergency only and only then via airbnb message app.  We apologize if this causes any issues, but please consider this ahead of booking. Likewise, please advise us before traveling, on your estimated time of arrival so we can accommodate if possible.

Please note that in winter weather & storm conditions such services as the Internet and cable may be spotty and/or nonfunctional. Those are beyond our control and we do not provide refunds or credits in the event that services are out due to inclement weather conditions, which is the norm. Our home utilizes exterior only/outdoor camera surveillance for the protection of our guests and the home during stays and likewise when the home is vacant.

For summer reservations: Please note that this home does not have a central A/C system but as of June 2021 does have a portable AC Unit (13,500 btus) and as such, for day time temperatures over 80 degrees the main living/kitchen/dining and loft areas may be warmer, but with the AC unit should stay relatively cool (approx low 70s, assuming day time temps are not astronomically higher).

To help balance we provide in addition to the portable AC, standing fans and the master and living room have a ceiling fan. You are welcome to open doors / sliders for a cross breeze. Please refer to past reviews for any other guest feedback on this situation and note that it is not problematic for most travelers. We are not able to offer refunds, credits or the like for any inconvenience this may cause. All bedrooms and downstairs area remain cool (subjectively speaking).

All other information below may not be applicable given the oft changing rules. However in event private beaches are accessible we note the following;

If you cruise down Lakeshore Drive you will see these three beaches located between the Hyatt Regency and Hwy 28. These beaches are beautiful and set up for family fun, but require a pass to get in. If you don’t have a pass we recommend you head to other nearby public beaches like Kings Beach State Park Beach or Sand Harbor Beach or visit our Lake Tahoe beaches map for other nearby options.

I would give it 10 stars if I could! The place was beautiful, even better than the pictures. Everything was spotless, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook in if you wanted. There was an ac unit on the main level that kept it perfectly cool and fans in each bedroom if needed. The back deck was great to sit out on and the grill was great too. We loved this place and had zero complaints. We would absolutely book again.
