Car #2 noses in behind car #1 and can overhang into the street by about 18-24". This parking practice is common in the neighborhood. There is a third parking spot in the driveway that is occupied by the owners classic car. Please take care to avoid the classic car when parking. South Bay Beach Cities (Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo, El Segundo, Playa Del Rey) are definitely a "bubble", separated enough from the bustle of LA that they do feel like a true escape. Staying in the bubble and hanging at the beach is highly acceptable and great get away to escape the bustle of LA for a weekend. If you don't have a rental car, I recommend using UBER (it is far better value than a regular taxi). It is very easy to download the app on your smart phone and start using it instantly. Home truths: - Guests should just be aware that traffic noise is audible in the house and rear yard. - The master bedroom has 16' vaulted ceilings that are open to the living room ceiling. This loft style ceiling is very beautiful and what makes the space unique, but guests should be aware that sound travels between the living room and master bedroom. - House has an open loft which is not accessible to guests. - House bathroom has a rainfall shower, no bath tub. - A/C is portable and not central Please note this is a beach house — you should note that as such the home does show wear from the saturation of salt water and corrosion. Any reservations made affected by such issues are disclaimed and are not eligible for refunds or credits. Stayed at the Bungalow for 2 weeks. Check-in was a breeze. The house is outfitted with tasteful decorations and has a cool airy beach vibe. Beds were very comfy. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for cooking, coffee, blender, spices etc. Walkability was 5/5; just a block and half up from the beach, made surfing and sunsets simple. The parking can hold 2 cars in a pinch. What to know about this house: - Bathroom Sink was clogged upon arriving. - Shower head had tons of buildup and needed cleaning. - The larger bedroom is open ceiling and not fully enclosed to the house; not blocked from light and noise. - Outdoor Patio photos do not accurately represent the space; the patio is extremely weathered and needs attention. Also know the patio borders the busiest road in town, and is noisy. - Lots of stains and dirt on all pillows, chairs, sofa (with the exception of the beds) on every decoration, artificial plants, etc all had a layer of dirt and dust. Dirty floors.

This house is located in the heart of Manhattan Beach- it’s very walkable and right near the beach and restaurants. The house itself is very cute but could use some upkeep- I think it’s been rented out a lot and the furniture is starting to show wear and tear and was dusty. The backyard could be cute but it was also not well kept and could use some cleaning up. Small things like not having any laundry detergent, and only having one dish towel available were annoying for the amount we were paying to stay there, but my biggest issue was the heater being on in the house when it was 70 degrees outside. I messaged the house manager several times and she was very quick to respond but her answers weren’t helpful: turn the heater off (we did), use the fans (we did), open the windows (many don’t open). I honestly felt like she didn’t believe me that the heater was on (the heater was hot to touch) and another reviewer has mentioned the same problem.

Great property. Walking distance from the beach, and the center of Manhattan Beach. Host was great. Property matched the description. Only issue was the temp inside the house. Not sure if it was a warmer weekend than most, but it was pretty hot even with the portable ACs and fans running. Otherwise, great experience.
